The Riviera isn’t just about the beaches, inland the terrain drifts away from the coast to the hillside communities of Grasse.

For those culture vultures the Riviera boasts world class museums and modern art at the Maeght Foundation in St Paul de Vence and not forgetting the Annociade Museum in St Tropez which has works of art that would stand up to the best collections.

You can see whether you are looking for a trip back in time, a trip to play with your kids on the beach, a stroll along the verdant gardens of Menton or you just want some fine dining, there is no place like the French Riviera.

If your flying into the French Riviera then the Nice airport will accommodate flights from America, most of Europe and of course other French cities.

Nice International Airport is the second largest in France and offers a modern feel.

Located just outside of the city centre Nice Airport has become the principle port of entry to the French Riviera and is in fact the third most important airport in France, the two most important airports being located in Paris.

The Côte d’Azur, or the French Riviera as it is known to the English has been welcoming visitors to its shores for over 200 hundred years.

It stretches from the Italianate Menton in the east to the sparkling bay of St Tropez with plenty in between. Manaco, Antibes, St Raphael and Nice are but to name a few.

The French Riviera boasts endless beaches, and offers its visitors 300 days of sunshine a year. The Riviera is not only beautiful but is also culturally rich and offers everything from outstanding museums, a vibrant nightlife and a distinct blend of cuisine.

If you would prefer the adventures of the outdoors the Riviera host a number of activities including horse riding, cycling and the increasingly popular canyoning in the mountains of the Mercantour National park.

Just north of Nice the Mercantour National park also offers some of the best views in France.
